Cooking with recycle biomass
A range of NGOs and other project implementers in Malawi are integrating renewable
energy components in their developmnet interventions.
Renew’N’Able Malawi helps to bring together experience from these different projects.
We also promote a range of complementary technologies which are proven to work
and/or have potential to be accepted in our local cultural and environmental settings.
Our team has been testing different cooking and lighting devices as well as
biomass briquette production in cooperation with rural households since
2010 to build a strong basis for piloting projects with high adoption rates.
The first “READY” demonstration site is currently being built up to showcase
and train communities on improved cookstoves and low-cost biogas devices.
