Johanna (affectionately known as anaPhiri! in the rural communities) joined RENAMA in August 2018 as the new “weltwaerts” volunteer following her graduation from high school in Germany. She plans to study Sustainability and Environmental Studies after her 12 months stay in Malawi and is eager to make her volunteership at RENAMA an opportunity to learn more about renewable energies and their importance in preserving the health of our planet. Johanna loves outdoor activities, spending time in rural communities and engaging with people. When she is not working, you will most likely find her busy hiking some mountain or hanging out with her friends.
