Thank you for your time and interest in Renew’N’Able Malawi (RENAMA), a Malawian non-governmental organization. The name derives from our aim to enAble Malawians to Renew their lifestyles based on renewable, cleaner and more efficient energy sources.

RENAMA was set up to contribute to the reduction of energy poverty in Malawi. According to our observations, energy poverty is a main factor that hinders people from transforming poverty into a life beyond mere existence. We believe that the development of a strong, transparent and diversified energy sector with active informations sharing, best practice sharing among all stakeholders as well as vivid policies in all energy related sectors are a prerequisite to reducing energy poverty.

On our website, you are invited to discover the potentials of really sustainable poverty alleviation through use of renewable energy sources. Our on-the-ground work starts with people who strive hard to create a better future for themselves & others - but don’t yet have the material means or access to knowledge to realize their ideas if left alone.
